Article: Mistake
A mistake is an act or judgement that is misguided or wrong.
A mistake can be an error, a fault, an oversight, misunderstanding, miscalculation, inaccuracy, misconception, omission or blunder.
Albert Einstein said “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new”.
Mistake is part of human life, and it is part of a growing or developmental process. Mistake is a part of our learning process.
Alexander Pope said “To err is human, to forgive is divine”.
One can easily learn and acquire life experience from one’s own mistake and from the mistake of another person.
Brandon Mull said “Smart people learn from their mistakes. But the real sharp ones learn from the mistakes of others”.
A silly, stupid, unpardonable mistake is the one committed by a person more than once.

Terry Goodkind said “I am afraid that we all make mistakes. One of the things that define our character is how we handle mistakes. If we lie about having made a mistake, then it can’t be corrected and it deteriorates. Elbert Hubbard confirmed this when he said, “The greatest mistake you can make in life is to continually fear to make mistakes.”
If mistake is an act of bad judgement, we must learn from Rita Mac Brown when she wrote that “Good judgement comes from experience and experiences come from bad judgement (mistake).
Mahtma Ghandi realized the importance of mistake in a person’s life and addressed it from a freedom angle saying, “freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.”
Lastly, Paulo Coelho Brida said “Disappointment, defeat, and despair are the tools God uses to show us the way.”
